This is a WikiProject, a collaboration area and open group of editors dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of a particular topic, or to organizing some internal Wikipedia process.
Please see the Guide to WikiProjects and the Directory of WikiProjects for more information.
Welcome to the Taoism WikiProject. We are a group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of articles related to Taoism. This page contains only the suggestions, things to give you focus and to get you going, and you should not feel obligated in the least to follow them. But if you don't know what to write or where to begin, following the below guidelines may be helpful. Mainly, we just want you to write articles!
Goals
The goal of this WikiProject is to provide complete coverage on subjects related to Taoism, by creating, improving, and maintaining articles on the history, ideas, principles, and people of Taoism.
Scope
The scope of this project will consist of all articles within the Category:Taoism.
Badbilltucker(talk·contribs) - Will probably help (to the degree that I do) with templates, assessment, and other directly project-related matters.
Zeus1234(talk·contribs) - I just wrote an article on the Celestial Masters and have completely rewritten the Taoist sexual arts article. I am interested in creating and editing articles on Daoism from the Han to Tang period.
Itsmejudith(talk·contribs) - Would like to help out with wikifying, grammar, spelling, boring bits really.
The Hippie(talk·contribs) - Will mostly just check out books on Taoism from my local library and help cite as many articles as I can, or just copyediting for grammar. And I take a liking to this kind of philosophy.
Warlordjohncarter(talk·contribs) - Pretty much useless in general, but like collecting userboxes. Might be able to contribute with assessment and peer review, with any luck may be able to improve some articles as well.
YouLiOu(talk·contribs) historical Daoist figures, gods and immortals; Wudang daoism; Daoist developments in China and outside
ACHKC(talk·contribs) On orgin and what Taoists believe on Xiuzhen; the part of Taoism without English sources
Ludwigs2(talk·contribs) I'm good with the philosophical aspects of taoism, and I (sometimes) have a knack for writing accessible statements and making clear analogies. feel free to call on me wherever you think I might be of use.
Please feel free to list your new Taoism-related articles here (newer articles at the top, please). Any new articles that have an interesting or unusual fact in them should be suggested for the Did you know? box of the Main Page. Please also make sure that each new article created is put into one of the categories for Taoism, so that the articles will appear there. Also, if possible, add each new article to the page Wikipedia:WikiProject Taoism/Articles (still under construction) so that they can be viewed for recent changes.
The following articles have been selected for one or more release versions of wikipedia. Please help ensure that these articles remain of the highest possible quality.
This article is within the scope of WikiProject Taoism, a collaborative effort to improve the coverage of Taoism-related subjects on Wikipedia. If you would like to participate, please visit the project page, where you can join the discussion and see a list of open tasks.
